Quick Note Automatically Opens the Previous Note

How to Always Open a New Quick Note on Mac

Open the Notes app on your Mac. Go to Notes > Preferences from the menu bar. Disable Resume last Quick Note to turn it off. Close the Preferences window.
How to Always Open a New Quick Note on iPad
Likewise, you can also change your Quick Note settings on your iPad. But instead of going to the Notes app, you’ll need to head to Settings on iPad and follow these steps:
Open the Settings app on your iPad. Scroll down and select Notes. Scroll down again, and disable Resume Last Quick Note.
