How to Appear Offline on Xbox Series X or S

Sometimes you might want to be undisturbed while playing online and don’t want to be messaged by people on your friend list. Here’s how to appear offline on Xbox Series X or S.

Press the glowing middle button of your Xbox Series X or S controller. Scroll all the way to the right to Profile and System. Select your username.   Scroll down to Appear online. Press A. Scroll down to Appear Offline and and again, select it by pressing A. Your online presence is now invisible to other users.

If you’d rather show as online but don’t wish to be disturbed, you can also change your status to Do Not Disturb which means you won’t receive any notifications, messages, or invites until you’ve switched it off.
